"When buying flowers over the Internet it's always advisable to make sure you're getting what you paid for. Far too many people are being ripped off by unscrupulous Internet business owners who care only about making money and not customer service.
Flowers are sent to people for a variety of reasons from a simple 'thank you' to expression of sympathy for illness or loss of a loved one.
While these flowers are sent in good faith and with good intentions this can fall apart if the website that you order your flowers from is set-up by someone who is not a florist.
Recently we were approached to act as the florist for a web site. We also had to pay a nominal fee per suburb we covered which meant we lost commission from the sale before the order came to us. Leaving out the subscription allow me to explain the workings for the florist tokyo flower delivery.
Assume you as a client place an order for an arrangement that costs you $110.00 and the arrangement is to be delivered into central Brisbane. Whoever hosts the website could be taking up to 40% commission away from the order. Using round numbers the sum would look as follows.
Order $110.00
GST $11.00
Net Amount $99.00
Commission taken by Host of the site $39.60
Balance left in the order for the florist $59.40
Delivery will be $10.00
Balance for Flowers and Labor $49.40
The result is the receiver of the flowers send flower to Japan gets an arrangement worth $49.40 even though you paid them $110.00 for Flowers. No matter which way you look at it, this is not good value, especially when the receiver gets a bunch of flowers that is very ordinary, when you were expecting them to be stunning.
What's the best way to make sure you're not getting ripped off when you order Flowers over the Internet?
One of the things to find out is if the people that own the website actually have a local Flower Shop. make sure you take the time to find out where the florist shop is situated and then give them a quick call to make sure they really exist.
This way you can feel safer that your order will be appropriate to the value you paid for. Just taking this simple precaution can save you having to later on ring up and complain about the poor quality of the flowers that were sent, if in fact you are able to even get in contact with an actual person and not some automated email responder.
The other up-side of using websites run by real florists is that you can call them up if you have a last minute change of design or flowers you wish to use in your order.
